Quality is
the cornerstone upon ICO Mold’s foundation of
strong technical competence. . Our steadfast
belief that quality comes first is affirmed by
ICOMold’s commitment of engineering resources to
it’s Quality Department, and senior management’s
full support of their judgment as the
gate-keeper of acceptance for shipping parts.
Well staffed
with knowlegible engineers that assure quality
by reviewing tooling designs, certifying raw
materials, inspecting tooling, and monitoring
process controls and documentation. They
control quality by performing dimensional and
appearance checks on three pieces, documenting
the results in QC Reports.
In cases
where quality problems are identified, our
quality engineers perform a root cause analysis
and develop a corrective action plan. Upon
implementation of the corrective action plan,
the quality staff confirms the results.
Upon the
quality managers acceptance of the parts for
shipping, the molds are thoroughly cleaned and
coated with preservative to protect them for the
period specified with the order.
Our general
tolerance for rapid tooling is +/- 0.005”, and
0.003” for indicated critical dimensions.
