What is ICOMold rapid injection molding cost?

We have an online cost estimator to provide you estimation on both the mold and part cost. Generally speaking, our cost is about 40% to 60% less than US cost.

Are there limitations to ICO Mold’s Rapid Injection Molding processes ?

Generally speaking, No.  We use steel molds for our Rapid Injection Molding service which enables us to easily produce complex parts up to 40” long.  The number of slides and inserts is only limited by the space available.  Sharp inside corners, intricate features and undercuts are no problem for ICO Molds.

How soon can I get my quote back?

You will have your quote the next business day after a 2D or 3D CAD file is uploaded to our web site.  You will be sent an e-mail with a link to your quote stored on our web site and accessible only with your username and password.  The quote is valid for 45 days, and will be stored on our web site for 180 days.  Your quote will include comments if any aspect of the model is not suitable for injection molding.  See our Design Assistance page if you need help making the necessary changes.

Can I modify the mold after the first run?

Yes.  Because ICO Mold uses steel molds. We can easily modify it by additional machining, fill-in welding, welding in additional material, or inserting a replacement feature – all at a very reasonable cost.  The only limitation is when the magnitude of your changes is so great that producing a new mold is more cost-effective than reworking the existing one.

What type of CAD files do you accept?

For quotation, we can accept drawings, models or drawing images created in any commercial program that is widely used in the U.S.  For mold design, we accept models created by any commercial CAD program that is widely used in the U.S.  See our ICO Mold Design Assistance page for help turning your 2D drawing, 2D image, or existing parts without prints into a model suitable for molding.

Do you handle production after injection molding ?

Yes.  Our sister division, ICO Products, specializes in recurring orders, high volume production, and Contract Manufacturing.  Assembling your sub-assemblies or manufacturing your products is their specialty.

What is ICOMold's terms and conditions ?

A Purchase Order accompanied by a down payment of 50%, Remaining 50% to be paid upon sample approval.  Part orders of over 300 pcs are to be prepaid.
